Account Executive for EdTech startup

StudentPulse is an intelligent Student Feedback Platform combining microsurveys with real-time data analytics to empower educational institutions to improve student experience throughout the educational journey. If needed, students can request help, or we can nudge them to take appropriate action.


What does the role entail?

As our Account Executive you will be our number one cheerleader. You are the person who sells. You will be closing deals by demonstrating how StudentPulse solves the prospects' problems. 

You will be our spear in the sales team and work directly with decision makers from educational institutions around the world. Together with our Business Development Representatives (BDRs), you will ensure that we generate enough leads/meetings.

You will be conducting sales presentations, writing sales pitches, calculating implementation fees, and work to close deals! As we grow, you will probably have the potential to grow into a leading role of some sort - but until then, you will be doing massive prospecting in a team-effort with a BDR and the CEO. As we grow, you will be focusing more on pushing the opportunities through the sales-funnel by more strategic sales work/meetings, demo implementations, negotiation and writing proposals.  

We have a broad international focus, which includes universities and colleges across the world. As an Account Executive, you will, therefore, get the opportunity to meet decision makers from educational institutions across the globe.

Your tasks include:

  • New Customer Acquisition - demonstrate how StudentPulse has helped existing customers with their problems.
  • Support Fulfilment - identify when a prospect is ready for the next step in the sales process.
  • Account Management - maintain a relationship with clients and prospects.
  • Revenue Growth - continue to expand our business.
  • Prospecting - generate new prospects and identify their needs.
  • Close sales - negotiate and process contracts.

We use Hubspot as a CRM-system, and we use Linkedin as our main lead-generating tool. 


Who are we looking for? đź‘€

You might just be the perfect candidate for this position if you:

  • have a degree in sales, marketing or communications. Preferable with an International focus.
  • have experience in SaaS sales is preferred, and experience within the education sector is also preferred, but not required. 
  • have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • are outgoing and ready to contribute with a good mood to the team
  • are fluent in English - written and spoken. It is not expected that you are fluent in Danish, as we are an international company with international employees.
  • might speak a third language.
